RP 312 A Two Component Inorganic Zinc Silicate Coating is a high-performance, zinc-rich protective coating designed to provide exceptional corrosion resistance for steel surfaces exposed to severe industrial and marine environments. It consists of two separate components: a liquid silicate binder (Component A) and a zinc dust powder (Component B), which are mixed together before application. The coating forms a hard, durable, and chemically resistant film that protects steel through galvanic (cathodic) protection, where the zinc sacrificially corrodes in preference to the steel substrate. It also offers excellent heat resistance, outstanding adhesion to properly prepared steel, and long-term durability in aggressive environments.
