RP - 312 Two Component Inorganic Zinc Silicate Coating is a high-performance protective coating system designed to provide exceptional corrosion resistance for steel structures exposed to harsh industrial and marine environments. The coating consists of two components: a zinc-rich powder and a silicate binder, which are mixed prior to application. Once cured, it forms a hard, durable film that offers cathodic protection by sacrificing the zinc particles to protect the underlying steel from rust and corrosion. This coating is widely used on storage tanks, pipelines, offshore platforms, bridges, power plants, and petrochemical facilities where long-term protection is essential. It exhibits excellent resistance to weathering, abrasion, solvents, and high temperatures. Inorganic zinc silicate coatings also provide strong adhesion to properly prepared steel surfaces and serve as an effective primer in multi-coat protective systems. Their long service life and low maintenance requirements make them a cost-effective solution for industrial corrosion control.
